Modus. The Spain´s Way

The Sala Canal de Isabel II of the Comunidad de Madrid presents “Modus. The Spain´s way”, a collective exhibition that aims to trace the Spanish in the field of national fashion.

The exhibition takes a journey along the history of Spanish fashion through the most representative creations of the most relevant designers, with pieces from el Museo del Traje and private collections.

Taking as theme axes the court suit, the regionalisms, the Andalusian world and the religious sphere, the exhibition takes a trip through Spanish fashion. Starting from the work of established artists such as Fortuny, Balenciaga or Pertegaz, the selection of pieces advances decade after decade by designers who made Spanish fashion a benchmark, such as Pedro Rovira or Sybilla, reaching the work of more contemporary creators, such as Palomo Spain, Davidelfín or Amaya Arzuaga. It also includes a small brushstroke on the influence of Spanish on an international level, with pieces by Givenchy, Dries Van Noten or John Galliano.
